Cotswold Farmhouse occupies a lovely position overlooking a valley and the view extends to Marlborough Downs. The terraced gardens descend from the big lawn with W.I. Teas, croquet and children’s games, down past the White Border and the Terrace designed by Norman Jewson in the ‘30’s. John Sales and Will Ridpath helped us to re-fill these borders to overflow with colour, textures and scents.

Descending further, the Shrub Garden overflows with roses, trees and bushes. The Step Garden has become a Winter Garden and descends to the Bog Garden where water trickles through a series of ponds and over stones surrounded by primules and water loving plants.

The walled Kitchen Garden is now allotments and full of vegetables grown by six inspired individual gardeners.

A five minute walk through a field leads to Bee Orchids, pyramidal and common spotted orchids flowering among lime loving wild flowers.
